Who We Are
Honolulu Disposal Service, Inc., founded in 1967 is now the largest waste hauling and recycling operation in Hawaii servicing a customer base of over six thousand accounts. Through over forty years of business, we have grown from a two-truck operation to a full-service organization that employs over two hundred fifty people and operates a modern fleet of over one hundred fifty refuse, recycling and service vehicles.
What We Do
Honolulu Disposal Service, Inc. operates the largest fleet of Front-End-Loader vehicles and Scout vehicles seven days a week to provide excellent, reliable solid waste and recyclables collection services for our commercial and industrial customers here on Oahu.Honolulu Disposal Service, Inc. also operates the largest fleet of Rolloff trucks which transport compacted loads of refuse from most of the major hotels in Waikiki as well as hundreds of commercial and private customers and open-top loads of construction waste and debris from general contractors and other construction firms.
Honolulu Disposal Service, Inc. has a separate Safety department specifically dedicated to provide professional and frequent driver training education, safety guidance and customer service feedback.

Honolulu Disposal Service, Inc.’s headquarters is located in Sand Island and includes the Administration and Sales offices as well as the Operations department which includes the Dispatch office, Operations Support office, Maintenance and Parts Inventory office, Maintenance Repair facility, and Welding Repair Shop.
In addition, Honolulu Disposal Service, Inc. operates the only privately owned transfer station, which is capable of processing 1000 tons of trash each day, and the largest recycling facilities in the State of Hawaii utilizing the only MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) in the state.
Our customer service center is staffed Monday - Friday from 6:30am until 5:00pm and Saturday from 7:00am until 3:30pm. Please leave a voice mail during our non-business hours. Our customer service representatives have been trained to facilitate virtually all of your waste collection needs and to ensure that any service issues you may encounter are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Honolulu Disposal Service, Inc. has a professional, sales team of Territory Managers and representatives who can assist in analyzing your waste stream, determining service level requirements, recommending alternative collection systems including waste reduction and waste recycling, and providing you with competitive price quotations.
